Adiabatic Simualtions
This page has links to a few movies from a simualtion for rout=10a, where rout is the radius of the simulation boundary and a is the semi-major axis.
Both winds are assumed to be adiabatic and have the temperature at T=35,000K at the stellar surfaces and coast without any net external forces.
In the following simulation, the binary orbit is on the x-y plane and the major axis of the orbit is along the x-axis (+x-axis is in the direction of the apastron). At t=0, the system is at the apastron. The density shown in movies is in cgs units. Times are in units of the orbital period.
A full orbit movie from t=1 to t=2 (from the second apastron passage to the third one, including the second periastron passage).
